One of the most renowned and revered academic and research institutions in the world, Columbia University prides itself in being an integral part of New York City’s educational landscape. To help the University achieve its goal “to advance knowledge and learning at the highest level and to convey the products of its efforts to the world,” Columbia’s commissioning staff required support for day-to-day operations. The AKF Commissioning team provides this staffing help on the Morningside and Manhattanville Campuses, allowing the University staff to focus on additional campus needs.
To assist the University and its facilities staff, AKF acts as a Columbia University representative for a variety of projects throughout the campuses. AKF identifies which tasks are open, prioritizes them, and communicates back to the campus commissioning team. As these staff augmentation efforts change on a daily basis, AKF ensures the tasks are properly staffed by the AKF Commissioning team. This dynamic relationship allows AKF to shift focus as needs and priorities change for the University
